2018 - 06 - Summer Time Happenings, will I see you?

News & Updates
Lots of exciting happenings this month. Please read all about them below and I hope to see you!

Besides being my birthday month, it is also the 5 year anniversary of our shop in Grand Coulee, WA. June 14 is the official 'day', but we're celebrating for two weeks -- June 10-15 and 17-22, schedule to come to the shop on one of those days.  I've already had some appointments called in for larger groups, so feel free to arrange a time for your carload or more to come by and I'll be sure to have enough special treats for you all. More 'sale' details below.

June 21 is the kick-off for the Row by Row Experience - Sew Musical. Read below for the reveal of my design! And wouldn't it be just perfect to have live music to enhance the experience? A dear friend and accomplished musician, who has recently retired from her professional concertmistress assignment and will be retiring shortly from her university teaching, has agreed to be in our presence that day and share her beautiful talents, so you won't want to miss it!

Skill Builder class is wrapping up this week. Given all the other activities going on this summer, I will not be hosting Coulee Creators in the classroom. Our last meeting is on Tuesday, June 5. If you need to make arrangements outside that time slot to pick up any of your tools, please do so before June 9.

*****FIVE YEAR ANNIVERSARY SALE *****
June 10-15 and 17-22; 10am-5pm or by appointment
It is hard for me to believe that we had a grand opening celebration June 14, 2013 for the commercial space of KISSed Quilts--now 5 years ago! I started as a long-arm quilting machine and design studio in 2009 in my home, we moved in 2013 to Grand Coulee and opened up a commercial space for my endeavors, people asked for fabric and so through the years I've added inventory. My goal is to be a resource to locals the best I can, sharing my knowledge of quilt making and providing an opportunity to check first for items they may need. I hope that locals and visitors to our area enjoy having a quilt shop opportunity here in Grand Coulee, WA.  So, let's celebrate this milestone!

a. We'll have $5 items!

b. Good in the shop only - first 5 yds are 20% off; all yards thereafter are $5 / yd if originally less than $10/yd; if >$10/yd then they will be 50% off. Minimum 1 yard cuts. I try to keep everything low every day so that you can always get a bargain whenever you need something. But this is a time to thank you for your patronage and a time to celebrate. Order your Toscana cuts now for pickup during the sale and you'll get this sale pricing.

c. June 21st - Row by Row Kickoff with live music all day!
When considering designs for this year's "Sew Musical" theme, I went looking for iconic album covers that might work as a quilt block. Pink Floyd's "Dark Side of the Moon" uses a cool physics concept that appealed to me so here is my interpretation. This 'Foxy Boxy' size of 18" square would make a great pillow or a collectable design for your Row by Row Experience quilt. If you know you're coming, please let me know in advance so I can be sure to have enough kits available for those making plans to attend or purchase in volume.

d. We're also a Row by Row Junior host - children (ages 6-14) can pick up a free pattern, or adult friends and family can purchase a kit with a pattern.

e. Pick up a refreshing mint or homemade GF/DF chocolate chunk cookie!
